NAC solution in mobile computing era

Growth of mobile computing, unauthorized LAN access by various devices such as Smart phones, Tablet/Slate PCs and Laptops is increasing. The convenience of corporate LAN access comes the challenge to manage all IT devices, including unmanaged mobile devices, and to address the increased security risks that these devices can introduce. Network Access Control(NAC) solution which can detect & block unauthorized devices can solve this challenge, but most of NAC solutions require installation of IEEE802.1x software/specific agents on every endpoint, changes and/or upgrades to the entire switch infrastructure, and manual workarounds for devices such as printers that could not accommodate IEEE802.1x agents.

NetAttest LAP enhances the CounterACT’s NAC solution and allows customers to reduce costs by meeting security objectives and compliance requirements.
